I’ve been dying to make it out to Dallas to visit my buddy Rick’s place, Strokers Dallas – home of some of the most dramatic custom motorcycles you’ve ever seen. I made plans to go last June and unfortunately my flight was cancelled, causing me to miss my opportunity. So when I learned that I was heading to Texas again, I called Rick up immediately and asked if I could stop by. He said yes!
Then he called me back and said he forgot he was hosting a charity golf tournament that day so he wouldn’t be able to meet me. Bummer. But I didn’t let that stop me. I was bound and determined to make it to the holy grail of all things tie dyed and groovy!
When I showed up, Rick’s wife Sue welcomed me with open arms. I honestly didn’t expect any less – I knew if she is married to Rick, she is “good people”. Rick has been a great friend of mine for a few years now and I think the world of him. Not only is he an amazing business role model and friend, but he is just a really good person and I admire that.
Sue led me around the crazy maze of Strokers before I ventured off on my own to give all of you a behind the scenes tour of the Strokers compound. Along the way I ran into Gary who decided to show us around the rest of the way. He told me a lot of stories and explained about what we were seeing along the way.
You’ll have to watch the video to see all the details – but I will tell you this – this was hands down one of THE coolest places I’ve ever been and I’m so glad I was able to share it with all of you. Be sure to stop by to see this place and experience it in person next time you roll through the great state of Texas!
