Season 6 Episode 2: Indian Larry Motorcycles – Bobby Seeger Jr.

Season 6 Episode 2: Indian Larry Motorcycles – Bobby Seeger Jr.

Most of you may remember the peek of the chopper craze in the early 2000’s when a new episode of Discovery Channel’s Biker Build Off was the highlight of the week. Real bikers were already familiar with Indian Larry Motorcycles before this show became a hit, but those just getting into the custom motorcycle scene at that point were probably first introduced to Larry and his shop through TV. Larry always held tight to that old school look and functionality of the 50’s-60’s style choppers and his crew was known for their elaborate fabrication abilities and no-nonsense attitudes. His motorcycles were truly works of art and recognized around the world. Since Larry’s death in 2004, owner Bobby Seeger Jr. has continued working hard to keep the ILM brand relevant and to keep Larry’s legacy alive. Bobby and his crew have built Indian Larry Motorcycles into a powerhouse name and are still putting out beautifully crafted motorcycles in the same Indian Larry style as always. In this episode, you’ll hear Courtney and Bobby talk about what goes on inside the shop on a daily basis, some bikes they are currently working on and the his plans for the future of the company. Season 6 Episode 1: Klock Werks – Brian Klock

Season 6 Episode 1: Klock Werks – Brian Klock

On this episode of Wide Open Radio, host Courtney Lambert talks with Brian Klock of Klock Werks in Mitchell, South Dakota. Klock Werks has graced the pages of pretty much every motorcycle magazine on stands and you’ve surely handled his products at some point. From their full line of parts – including the infamous Flare Windshield, to custom motorcycles to salt flat racing – the Klock Werks Krew is well respected and earning a lot of notoriety. Courtney will ask Brian about his start in the motorcycle industry, the moves he made to get where he is now, his involvement with the Hamsters, and where he sees himself, his business and his family in 5 years. I always went where there’s a niche. Like if nobody’s making a cool… steel fender, then that’s what I’m going to do – stamp out a steel fender. – Brian Klock, Klock Werks “I really enjoyed this interview with Brian Klock. I never really had a chance to get to know him prior to the show and it turns out – he’s just as nice if not nicer than everyone said! I love hearing Brian talking about his family and their values and he sure did love talking about his wife and girls! We discussed everything from the Hot Bike Tour to salt flats racing to Discovery Channel’s Biker Build Off and the Hamsters motorcycle organization. So much to hear in this episode and I hope the listeners can get to know Brian a lot better while enjoying the show.” – Courtney Lambert, Host – Wide Open Radio Listeners will also hear about...

New Episode Alert – Coby Klein of Speed By Design

LISTEN HERE On the latest episode of Wide Open Radio, Coby Klein of Speed By Design opens up about his past in the boating world and how he wandered into the motorcycle industry and took it by the horns. Courtney and Dave talk with Coby and the rise of Speed By Design, the principals of his company and the logic behind the products they make. I can attest to the quality of Coby’s parts first hand. I mentioned on the show how frequently we use Speed By Design products at Kory Souza Originals – and this is not only because they are parts that we know are top notch and will arrive in a timely manner – it is also because the customer service is a step above the rest. I actually look forward to receiving shipments from SBD because the packaging itself is a science in itself. (Y’all know how important a well-packaged product can be!) During our interview, we talk about a new feature on the Speed By Design website called the DTR Builder, which stands for Dream To Reality. Coby asked Dave and I to go on his site before the show and check out this new feature. Without checking with each other to set this up, Dave and I both happened to build our own custom big wheel bagger using the DTR program – which allows you to virtually build a custom motorcycle all from your computer! Users can choose everything from the model of motorcycle to the paint colors, handlebars, floorboards, wheels, rotors, calipers, bags, fenders, side covers… if you can dream it, you can...

New Episode Alert – Q&A with Courtney and Dave
